Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Thursday here in Thailand and we'll soon go to an all-you-can-eat buffet full of the common Thanksgiving foods (plus some Thai food!).

Thanksgiving is a great time to give thanks (and to express gratitude) for all the things we have in life.

For me, it's been a special time to reunite with family - and share a LOT of food!

The sharing is generally a great benefit to our health. However...

The food can be a bit too much!

(Things like: bloating, gas, indigestion, pain, brain fog, inflammation and the dreaded weight gain!)


So... if you want some ways to enjoy your food while mitigating the risks, I have a few biohacking tips for you:


1- Take your antioxidant supplements...

...like Vitamin C. Antioxidants can help mitigate the oxidative stress from the foods you eat.


2- Start with lean protein...

...like turkey breast. It's satiating so you'll be less likely to eat so much of the other "bad" stuff.


3- Take activated charcoal.

Activated charcoal can bind to toxins (like alcohol) in your gut and keep them from entering your bloodstream.


4- Do some form of fasting...

...like Bulletproof Intermittent Fasting the day after Thanksgiving. Getting a little bit of high quality fat, along with MCT oil and giving your body a break from food will help you get your energy back.


5- Don't sweat it.

Seriously. It's just one day. If you overindulge for a day it's no big deal. I've seen studies showing that the occasional binge is not a big deal. What's important is finding something that works for you and sticking to it...
